Our Teas
Ruby Hills tea plantation comprises a total 88 acres of Camillia Sinensis variety of tea. There are a total of 500,000 tea plants on the farm. We use three different processing methods we use to produce finest Green Tea, Red Tea, and Black Tea in the area.
Green Tea :

Freshly harvested tea leaves are withered naturally for 45 minutes to remove excess moisture and water upon arrival at the facility from the farm. The leaves are then placed in our drum dryer to shape the color of the tea. The leaves are then rolled to achieve the perfect size of loose leaves for the finest tea. Then, then dried in our customized solar dryer for about 5 hours to get the best possible hand made green tea.
Red Tea :
Freshly harvested leaves are withered naturally for 45 minutes to remove excess moisture and water. The leaves are then naturally dried in a thin layer undershade for 24 hour to shape the color of red tea. The leaves are rolled for the 1 hour squeezing out excess water and shaping the leaves in the process. Then the rolled leaves are put in a natural bamboo basket to be fermented for 7 hours and then dried in the temperature control solar dryer for 3-4 hours to get the best tasting red tea.

Black Tea :
Processing of red tea is similar to what we do with red tea. The main difference is the undershade drying time and the time of fermentation. Total 12 hour of undershade drying is done and then the leaves are rolled for 1 hour. For this particular process 6 hour of fermentation is done and extra fermentation happens in the time of drying in our temperature control solar dryer to get the color and taste of black tea.
